Current Exhibition

Venusian Art Gallery provides an ongoing exhibition of luminous artwork and interior design elements in which individual pieces may be rotated. Superimposed on this ongoing exhibition are focus shows that may center on new sculpture series or design elements. On-line presentation of the pieces currently on display are organized here by their location in VG. However, the artwork and design elements can also be found based on their artistic styles or functionality as organized in the “Art & Sculpture” and “Interior Designs” sections.

Venusian Jellyfish

Always on rotating display, exotic luminous neon and blown glass Venusian Jellyfish set a magical ambiance for the main gallery space. As part of the Venusian World Sculpture Collection, they are exhibited with other rotating displays of floor and wall sculpture with similar styles.

Venusian World Landscape

This landscape wall sculpture reflects an other-worldly vision of the fantasy Venusian World characterized by multiple celestial orbs. It is a large piece with three adjacent components, each 4ft wide by 8ft tall.

Celebration III

The Celebration Series was originally designed on commission for the annual Celebration of the Oaks festivities in City Park, New Orleans. Designed for outdoor or indoor use, they were temporarily suspended in the park’s oak trees twenty above the ground.

Clouds VIII

Ehlenberger’s love of cumulus clouds comes out in the Clouds series of wall sculptures. The Clouds pieces are made up of multiple distinct layers of brushed aluminum with neon units sandwiched between casting their distinctive glows of luminous color. The brush patterns provide a sense of movement and interaction with the clouds.

Ecstasy I & II

These two pieces occupy prominent positions in the Main Gallery. Interpretive of the Abstract Expressioist style of painting, these pieces present wildly colorful arrays of neon arcs, backlit glass lenses and the glows of neon sandwiched between layers of translucent painted brushed aluminum.
