Venusian Garden Sculptures

Ehlenberger’s interpretation of his “Venusian World” comes together in a variety of “Venusian Gardens,” including small, self-contained free-standing “Venusian Gardens” as well as small and large installations. This garden concept is continuously expanding into new and different realms with different components and different applications from small, home gardens to large scale aquarium settings and stages set installations.

At this time, there are three basic types of Garden sculptures: Marsh, Swamp and Rock. The Marsh Gardens are characterized by aluminum bases, the Swamp Gardens have bases incorporating glass underlit with neon and the Rock Gardens incorporate stones.

Since the design of each garden is unique and variable depending on the components used, there is no fixed price. For pricing of each of the components, please see the pricing guide.

This Venusian Marsh Garden, similar to the Venusian Swamp and Rock Gardens, is an independent work made up of multiple, interchangeable elements from the Venusian World sculpture. The base is brushed aluminum, an organic marsh-like shape with projections that seem to be ever creeping outward. The bases are commonly placed on the floor but they may have legs elevating them 16-32″ or they may be placed on table tops or counters.

The Marsh Garden illustrated in the photo above is actually two Marsh Gardens installed side-by-side. Some Marsh Gardens are designed in this way to allow for greater flexibility in display. The Marsh Garden above separates into two independent Marsh Gardens (1 + 2), each with a 48″ straight edge which allows for each part to install against a wall individually or to be joined together as one (as shown above).

Interchangeable Components

The Venusian Botanica Series incorporate an easily interchangeable component-based system in which the individual glass and neon elements can be mounted on a variety of different bases.
