The Art & Sculpture of Venusian Gardens

As a contemporary art gallery specializing in luminous works, VG focuses primarily on sculpture that engages neon light but also incorporate blown glass, brushed aluminum or other media. The permanent collection of artwork, contemporary lighting and furniture on display is produced by Eric Ehlenberger and his staff at glassLight studio. Additional rotating exhibitions of work by other artists are being scheduled for mid-late 2023.

Venusian Gardens is best known for it’s exhibitions of Ehlenberger’s Venusian World Sculpture Collection, including his renowned blown glass and neon Venusian Jellyfish. This collection also includes multiple series of “Venusian Botanica,” plant-like sculptures incorporating blown glass, brushed aluminum and neon.

On a very different note from the Venusian artwork, additional luminous sculptures on display reflect contemporary and modern artistic styles that manifest the elegance of simplicity.

In an effort to provide a manageable means of presenting the vast amount of artwork and interior design pieces at VG, the works presented on this website are organized by the exhibition spaces they occupy rather than by the distinguishing features of the works themselves.

Venusian World Sculpture Collection

The Venusian World Sculpture Collection is an inter-related group of sculpture series related to the artist’s rendition of the luminous fauna and flora of the fantasy world of Venusia.

Included in this collection are the neon and blown glass Venusian Jellyfish along with many other different Venusian-themed artworks. These works include a variety of luminous neon & blown glass and/or metal plant-like sculptures collectively referred to as “Venusian Botanica” that occupy walls, table tops and floor spaces along with those suspended from ceilings.

Additional Work

There is a wide range of luminous artworks on display at VG incorporating various artistic styles. Some of the sculptures are reminiscent of the early 20th century Russian Constructivists while others reflect the influence of 20th century Western painters such as Kandinsky and Miro.

Exhibition Spaces

The three story Venusian Gardens consists of several different exhibition spaces with artwork and interior design elements displayed throughout, including the bathrooms and stairwells.

The artwork presented here is organized based on the Exhibition Space where they are displayed.
